In September 13th-17th 2021, an international training, organized within a European project “Conscious Parent Academy – Replacement parent urgently needed! “, hosted by project partner – Public institution “My Family Academy” (Vilnius, Lithuania) together with associate partner this institution cooperates – Vilnius City Municipality Administration. Training took place in the meeting hall of the Vilnius Municipality Council.
The training was focused on how to support care-workers in order to avoid burnouts and excessive and long-term stress and all the project partners participated in it.

On July 20-21, the first international meeting of the project “Conscious Parent Academy – Replacement parent urgently needed!” organized by the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Żory. We had the pleasure to host in Poland:

• IAC – Instituto de Apoio à Criança from Portugal,
• Viešoji įstaiga Mano šeimos akademija from Lithuania

On the first day, the SMART Foundation recalled the main assumptions of the project, followed by a presentation of the partners. On the first day, the partners focused primarily on the differences and similarities in the functioning of foster care in the partner countries.
On the second day, we focused on matters related to management and documentation, and discussed the schedule of further activities for 2021, followed by study visits to foster families.

The next week will be an international meeting of the project “The Academy of the conscious parent – A parent urgently needed!”.

During the meeting, we will be able to discuss together:
* functioning of foster care in partner countries,
* differences and similarities,
* analyze issues related to project management and dissemination.
Study visits to foster families are also planned for this meeting.

The fourth online project meeting with “The Academy of the conscious parent – A replacement parent is urgently needed!” Is behind us.
We focused on the main issues for “help-desk” and discussed the differences in the functioning of foster care in the partner countries.

On Friday, February 26, 2021, the third meeting of the project’s partner group took place
“The Academy of the Conscious Parent – A replacement parent is urgently needed!” Due to the state of the pandemic, the meeting was held online on the Mirosoft Teams platform.

we focused on improving our website and discussed alternative ways to carry out the training and meeting in Lithuania planned for May. We discussed the action plan and the first steps of creating the “Help-desk” guide.

On February 4, 2021. at the headquarters of the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Żory, another meeting was held to summarize the project “Academy of the conscious parent – Parent urgently needed for replacement” implemented under the Erazmus + Program financed by the European Union Fund. The project is implemented in partnership with the Foundation for Education – SMART from Opole, Viešoji Įstaiga Mano šeimos akademija from Lithuania and INSTITUTO DE APOIO A CRIANÇA from Portugal. The meeting was attended by employees of the Foster Care Department of the local Center, i.e. coordinators, social workers and a psychologist. All these people carry out tasks for children placed in family foster care in the area of ​​the City of Żory. The meeting was devoted to summing up the activities carried out so far under the Project as well as establishing an action plan for the next period.

On Friday, January 22, 2021 another meeting was held in the project “Conscious Parent Academy – Replacement parent urgently needed!” Due to the pandemic, the meeting was held online on the Microsoft Teams platform.

we discussed further goals and activities related to the project, presented the project website and planned the schedule for the current year. Despite the difficulties related to the pandemic, we are constantly developing and constantly looking for solutions that will ensure the development and success of the project – “Conscious Parent Academy – Replacement parent urgently needed!”.

On December 28th, 2020, a partner group meeting was held on the ZOOM platform. We discussed the schedule of activities, the rules of financial settlements and set out a plan for the nearest period.
